I have extensive experience writing about parenting, family life, and travel, but I love researching and diving into new topics. I have written hundreds of blog posts and articles for sites such as BabyGaga, Scary Mommy, ModernMom, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Falls Church News Press, and many more.
I graduated in November 2020 from Harvard University with my MLA in Extension Studies: Creative Writing and Literature. During my studies, I sharpened my skills in fiction, creative nonfiction, journalism, and screenwriting. I also have a certificate in business writing from University of California Berkeley and certificates in Hootsuite and social marketing.
I am a former elementary school teacher with over a decade of teaching experience under my belt, but after my son was born in 2015, I became a work-from-home mom and switched my career focus to writing.
AUTHOR
Since 2010, I have written, self-published, and promoted five full-length women’s fiction novels. Two of these spent some time on the Amazon Kindle bestseller list alongside books by authors such as Emily Giffin, Debbie Macomber, and Nora Roberts.
I also authored a popular rom-com novella on the serial publishing site Channillo.
In December 2020, one of my short stories appeared in The Black Fork Review. It is part of a creative nonfiction collection I’ve written about all of the places that I have called home.
I am currently working on my sixth novel.

I have partnered with numerous blogs, sites, and social media accounts to create, share, and promote content related to parenting, motherhood, and family life. As a regular panelist for MotherHustle, I contributed monthly posts about themes such as family travel, going back to school, mom guilt, and screen time! For Mamalode and Hyland’s Homeopathy, I have written blog posts and taken part in social media takeovers – creating themed posts for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and IGTV.
Travel
I was one of the first Home Exchange reporters on Instagram. My family loves home exchanging so I was excited to share our love for traveling this way by posting multiple stories about our trip daily to Home Exchange.com’s Instagram stories. In the past, I acted as a Twitter chat host for Passion Passport, posting a series of provided questions and interacting with those who were following along – liking, retweeting, and commenting on people’s responses at lightning speed to keep the conversation going!
Literary
As a social media team member for Pangyrus Literary Magazine, I worked with the editorial team to promote the magazine’s content and special events on Facebook and Twitter, as well as curating literary content from around the web. I also assisted in reviewing, proofreading, and publishing pieces and compiled information for a monthly newsletter.
Non-Profit
As the social media manager for the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation, I worked with the board to raise awareness about fundraising campaigns, library programming, and special events. I also created and curated content and designed graphics for various social media platforms.
